Yeah, so I'm on livejournal now. Doesn't mean I'm abandoning this fort!

Okay, you win. You win! I'm going to be a sheep and follow the rest of the herd over to livejournal because it seems like the "cool" thing to do. Everyone else is doing it, so right now, everyone else is cooler than I am. Everybody else is raving about their friends lists and leaving comments to each other, while I'm like that nerd in the front row of class trying to listen to the teacher while other people in the back pass notes around and try to figure out what time they should all stand up to collectively sharpen their pencils.

"If everyone else suddenly decided to jump off a bridge into a vat of sulfuric acid, would you jump too?"

Well, yeah. I mean, if everyone jumped into that acid, they'd probably die, leaving me all alone. So while the switch over to livejournal isn't anything like mass suicide, I still might do it. I've had an account there for a while already, so I figure I should make use of it.

Or I could be like one of those stubborn, dumbass army guys and make my last stand here.

Okay, so that whole Amy-and-I-are-cousins-through-marriage thing was an April Fools joke we came up with at something like 2:00 am, and I really don't have a great uncle Nathaniel that married into her family or anything.

I don't have much time since I have to get ready for work pretty soon, but I thought it was important to mention something I discovered last night while I was looking through some old geneology information. As it turns out, my great uncle Nathaniel married into Amy's family at some point way back when. I think this makes us like third cousins or something, but I'm not entirely sure. All I know is that we're actually related through marriage.

I sent her an email this morning with a link to the website where I found this out, but she's at work, so I'll have to wait for a little while before we can talk about this.

My day just got really weird.
